Show Update: Coronavirus
March 13th 2020: Because of the increased uncertainty and concern surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak worldwide, it has become clear that the show would have been negatively impacted on many levels, had we proceeded in March, compounded by a climate of uncertainty and rapidly changing health policy. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the event, and have re-booked the venue on 26th September, this being the only date available at the venue. We regret any inconvenience caused.
March 5th 2020: Further to the government COBRA meeting held on Monday 2 March, and following further discussion, we can confirm that PAS 2020 is currently going ahead as planned.
Following the COBRA meeting, the UK government has said it is “important that people go about their business as usual” for the time being, and Public Health England has not advised cancellation of events. However, this does remain an evolving situation and we will continue to observe the facts and most up-to-date medical information. We are looking forward to welcoming our exhibitors and visitors as usual.
At the moment, advice from Public Health England has not changed. They advise the most effective thing people can do to protect themselves is to wash their hands for 20 seconds or more. Because the main message from Public Health England is on personal hygiene, staff, exhibitors and visitors are encouraged to maintain good personal hygiene by employing the ‘Catch It. Bin It. Kill It’ ethos.
With this advice in mind, hand wash will be available at the entrance to the exhibition, and there are of course ample hand wash facilities at the venue.
We continue to monitor the Department of Health advice. Further updates as and when we have them, will be posted here.
